  2. Teacher/Staff Availability
    During normal business hours, our teachers, monitors and staff are available to students when they need us. We have many methods of communication available through telephone, email, live online tutoring sessions and message center in our course software.
  3. All Teachers/Staff Work in One Central Location
    Some schools have teachers or staff that work from home and can sometimes be difficult to reach. Our teachers and staff are on-site during normal business hours throughout the school year and are easily accessible.
  4. Computer Equipment Provided/In-House Support
    All students are loaned a Macintosh laptop and printer when they enroll in the SusQ-Cyber Charter School. We maintain our own equipment, which gives us a thorough knowledge of what each student is using. If a student is having computer or printer issues, they can call us during normal business hours so the problem can be rectified.
  5. Accelerated and Flexible Educational Opportunity
    Students are required to dedicate 5.5 hours to their schoolwork each day, although not necessarily consecutively. Students may complete their time requirement at any time during a 24 hour period. With the consent of teachers and our Guidance Department, students may also decide to work ahead in order to graduate earlier than expected.
  6. Highly Qualified Pennsylvania State-Certified Teachers
    All of our teachers are recognized as Highly Qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Our teachers hold at least a bachelor’s degree, a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate, and have demonstrated subject matter competency for the core content area they teach.
  7. No-Cost Tuition
    All tuition costs are paid by your school district of residence.
  8. Preparation for College
    With more universities and colleges adding online classes each year, students who adapt well to how their courses are delivered in the SusQ-Cyber Charter School will be ready to tackle collegiate courses online. The experience they gain by using our system can give them an advantage at the collegiate level.
